How does one change front wheel bearing Astra 1993?
Unbolt the old on bolt on the new one it would be better for you to go to a garage it is a very important part of the cars steering geometry and if you do it wrong you could end up crashing your car
How does one change front wheel bearing Astra 1993?
Remove hub assembly, remove bearings and seal. Pack new bearings and install
jack up the vehicle, support with jack stand, remove tire, and remove the disc brake by taking out the large nuts on the caliper mount. If front wheel drive, use a screwdriver or similar tool to take the ding out of the nut that holds the cv shaft to the spindle, then use an impact to remove it. Then you will have to seperate the spindle from the front suspention, usually at the strut mount. once it is free the spindle should be retained by the lower ball joint and the tie rod end. Remove the cotter pin if it is there, and remove the nut from the tie rod end, you will need a special tool to remove the tie rod end, and you should be able to pick one up for under $15, also you will need a ball joint removal tool also, which will be the next part removed, remove the bolt or bolts holding it and use the tool to seperate the ball joint from the lower control arm, be especially careful not ot punture or tear the boots on the tie rods and ball joint. Now the spindle should come out without no further disassembly, the front bearing should be able to be removed but you will need to remove the rear bearing seal with a screwdriver, a seal puller or similar device. Being careful not to mar the bearing or the bearing race. Also most of the rear bearings are pressed into place, so you might have to have it pressed out. Pack the new bearing by having the grease in the palm of your hand and pushing the grease through the bearing, install the rear bearing, install the seal by using a very large socket, careful that it is in straight and flush, install the spindle on the lower ball joint, then reinstall the tie rod end, and hook spindle back to the strut. cv through the spindle hole, install the outter bearing, and seal if needed, obtain a NEW bolt for the cv and use an impact to put it on, dent the flange where the slot in the cv is, install wheel.

For rear wheel drive, jack car, remove tire, remove the brake caliper, remove the bearing cup, careful not ot dent or damage it, remove the cotter pin, loosen spindle nut, remoive nut and washer and the large flat washer, pull on the disk and it should come out as an assembly, again you will have to press the rear bearing out, and it is much that same as the front wheel drive. When installing, put the hub on, install the large flat washer, lock washer and the nut, while spinning the hub, tighten the nut, once it seems tight rotate the hub, as it should loosen up, keep tighting it until it has no side to side play, but still rotates freely, line up the notch in the bolt to the hole in the spindle, and install a new cotter pin. install the cap, put on tire remove jack stand and lower vehicle.
same as the guy above, but you have to be so carefull that no muck or crap get's in whilst you are doing them......

unless your a competent mechanic I'd take it to a garage!!
