How do i change a front passenger side wheel bearing on a w reg vauxhall vectra pls?

neil, best bet is to buy a complete hub from the breakers yard...you'll get one for a tenna, and its ALOT easier to change than a 拢25 bearing, some bearings require hydraulic presses to remove/install bearings..then its possible the the inner race gets stuck on the hub......breakers yard mate, honestly.

on a vectra the wheel bearings are bolted on to the hub by three torks bolts.

to remove, jack the car and support on Axel stands, remove the wheels undo the nut in the centre of the hub, undo and remove the brake calliper and its bracket, remove the brake disc, undo the abs sensor then undo the three tork bolts that holds the bearing then knock the bearing out with a hammer.

not familiar with the specific model but general wheel bearing replacement includes replacing the spindle/hub depending on which you have as well as the bearing itself which may be free floating or may be pressed into the rotor itself. basically, remove the large crimp nut holding the spindle/hub assembly together as well as remove the brake caliper (dont crack the brake line just ziptie the caliper up out of the way.

then pull the spindle/hub assemble off and replace with new spindle/hub and then put on new bearing after packing with fresh axle grease... may have to press it out of rotor if that is the case....or buy new rotor with bearing pressed in and put on. reassemble and drive.

would be a good time to replace the ball joints on that side and possibly the other. may need to get an alignment as well depending on how the suspension is set up.
With great difficulty...don't try it, seek specialist help or your car could be in bits for a long time...
I would search the vvoc forum or ask there:
