Would a Muffler make the car vibrate like a wheel bearing bad? i changed one but only vibrates?

noooooooooo, if wheel bearings were bad it would be worse than a vibration

Dose it vibrate when the engin is running and not driving it? Is this a front wheel drive car. It sounds more like a cv joint to me. Dose it chane if you turn the steering wheel left or right while driving the car?
Don't worry, it usually just means that your tires have worn down a little and have gotten out of balance and need balancing, usually just one tire, though you pretty much have to balance them in pairs, because it's impossible to tell which one is the culprit.

If it wobbles only when you step on the brakes, it means that your brake rotor(s) have warped from braking too much or too hard or too long. Not expensive, usually they can be %26quot;turned%26quot; (ground down a little to make them straight again) very cheaply, or even replacing them should not be too expensive. Call around and ask three places first, %26quot;How much it will cost to turn the rotors on a (year and model car)? How much will it cost to replace them?%26quot;

If it wobbles only at a certain speed, say 35-55-65 mph, then you just have a tire that has worn down and gotten out of balance. It must be in the front because the front wheels are the ones that are attached to the steering wheel, wobbling it, right? So you can just have the front wheels balanced. Or if you feel a similar vibration but the steering wheel isn't wobbling, that will be the rear wheels needing the same thing.

If it wobbles at a pretty low speed, 25-45, you might have lost a balance weight, but the solution is still the same.

If it wobbles very bad even when starting to move at parking-lot speeds, that might be serious. Usually that means that the tire is coming apart and has gotten %26quot;lumpy%26quot;, and should be replaced IMMEDIATELY before it blows.

Bearing and front end problems don't cause wobbles. Bearings cause a grinding, scraping sound from one side or the other. Shock or strut problems just let the car bounce a lot, wearing out suspension springs and parts. Tie rod end looseness just gives the steering wheel too much %26quot;slack%26quot; before it starts actually turning the car.

You want to fix that wobble right away, even though it isn't dangerous, because the heavy tire %26quot;beating%26quot; back and forth will wear out suspension parts, which then won't pass inspection and will HAVE to be fixed.

Hope this reassures you a little!

the answer to this one is no..it is possible but only if your muffler is wedged against the bottom of your car...if a wheel bearing goes bad in a fwd then it generally sounds like your tire is rubbing on something.....if a wheel bearing goes bad in a rwd then you will generally feel a looseness in your steering right at first
