How do i change a wheel bearing on a 02 taurus?

What tools do i need? how long does it take? Can i replace just the bad side?|||Unless you have an air powered impact gun you%26#039;ll need the following: A deep well 32 mm socket. A 16%26quot; breaker bar. 3%26#039; feet of black iron pipe to slide over the breaker bar handle for leverage. A pitman arm puller to release the lower ball joint and tie-rod end. A tray of shallow well metric sockets. A 16%26quot; ratchet. A 5 ton three finger gear puller. Jack stands. Floor Jack. A large ball pein or small maul hammer.

If you%26#039;ve never done this before it%26#039;s best to invest in a Haynes or Chiltons manual for detailed instructions. With clear sailing it%26#039;s a two hour job at home. It%26#039;s perfectly acceptable to replace the %26quot;noisy%26quot; side only.|||wheel bearing or cv joint for a wheel bearing you be working the back wheel since its front wheel drive remove nut and washer pull it off but if your talking about front thats a cv joint the axle and bearing come out as one part and best you replace it all both sides better but one side can be but if you think about it one is wore out the other not far|||which 1 are you working on? the back or front. the front is harder then the back and yes you can just replace the bad 1.|||Yes you can just replace the bad side.

I suggest that you purchase USA made wheel bearings.

MIBearings LLC has USA made wheel bearings. They are top quality and will last a lot longer than most wheel bearings.
