Do I need a press to change a front wheel bearing?

I have a 2005 chevy cobalt. Does any one know if I need a press to change a wheel bearing?|||On the front of your 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt, there is a hub assembly.

You can purchase these hub bearing assemblies from http://mibearings.com

You will not need a hydraulic press or any other press to install these hubs.|||Not familiar with your vehicle.

However on most you can Tap out the outer cones

or seats pressed into the hubs with a small punch

trapping gently around the inner protruding edges.

And tap back into place with hammer (If there%26#039;s space)

then finish off with a punch, double

check the bearing seats properly

though.

Good Luck.

Cheers Mars Mission.|||You probably will have to buy a wheel hub assembly, which will include bearings and abs sensors and will be bolted to the steering knuckle.

So in short, no.|||You can use a large socket and a hammer to get the old ones out. Press the new ones in after heating the shell to expand the metal. Too easy. You do not need a press.|||I suspect that this is a bearing and hub assembly - sold only as an assembly.

No press needed - just a Gold Master Card.
